Storytelling for Impact
As part of our commitment to advancing mental health and education, Masana Group leverages the power of storytelling to shift narratives and spark early intervention. Our founder, Shudufhadzo Musida, is the best-selling author of Shudu Finds Her Magic and I Am Shudu: Finding My Voice and Knowing My Strength. Schools, nonprofits, and families use these books to introduce young readers to mental health, confidence-building, and emotional literacy.
These titles are more than books – they are tools for transformation. They form part of Masana’s broader strategy to normalize wellness conversations among youth and support culturally relevant education solutions. For bulk orders, speaking engagements, or book signings, please get in touch with us.
Our roots in our community
Masana Group’s work is grounded in real-world experience. Our sister initiative—Shudufhadzo Foundation—has worked extensively in under-resourced communities to pilot and scale grassroots programs that address the intersection of mental health, education, gender equity, and period poverty. Our foundation’s on-the-ground insights fuel the strategies we build for our clients. We don’t just advise from the top—we listen, implement, and learn from the field, ensuring that every solution we recommend is rooted in lived experience. Highlights of our community impact include:
- Menstrual health workshops and product distribution for over 300 students
- Mental wellness programs in rural schools with follow-up support for parents and teachers
- Strategic partnerships with hospitals, universities, and regional bodies to improve access to care and education.
This direct engagement with communities keeps us responsive, relevant, and deeply aligned with the people and systems we aim to serve. It also allows us to test and refine scalable models, including our upcoming tech-enabled mental health education tools.
